Šuličová, Andrea, Derňarová, Ľubica, Šantová, Tatiana, Cinová, Jana, Novotná, Zuzana, Šimová, Zuzana: Informovanosť pedagógov o prevencii akútnych komplikácií diabetes mellitus 1. typu u detí

Anotácia: Výskyt ochorenia diabetes mellitus 1. typu v súčasnosti vykazuje narastajúcu incidenciu a prevalenciu vo vekovej kategórii detí predškolského a školského veku. Výrazným spôsobom ovplyvňuje biologickú, psychologickú a sociálnu dimenziu kvality života dieťaťa. Významne ovplyvňuje aj pobyt dieťaťa v škole. Rodič tu nemá možnosť dozoru nad dodržiavaním liečebných opatrení u dieťaťa. Pedagógovia majú byť preto informovaní o zdravotnom stave dieťaťa a potrebných opatreniach, ako napríklad aplikácia inzulínu, meranie glykémie, diétne obmedzenia a špecifiká pohybovej aktivity. Hlavným cieľom štúdie bolo zistiť úroveň informovanosti pedagógov o ochorení DM 1. typu u detí. Na základe výsledkov prieskumu môžeme potvrdiť potrebu zvýšenia úrovne informovanosti o danej problematike na školách a zvýšiť tak pocit bezpečia detí s DM a ich rodičov počas školskej dochádzky a eliminovať vznik prípadných komplikácií.

Awareness of pedagogues on the prevention of acute complications of Children with Diabetes mellitus of the first type. The occurrence of Diabetes mellitus of the first type is currently showing increasing incidence and prevalence in the pre-school and school age children. It significantly affects the biological, psychological and social dimensions of the child’s quality of life. It also significantly affects the child’s stay at school. There is no possibility for a parent to supervise the child’s treatment. Pedagogues should therefore be informed about the child’s health status and necessary measures such as insulin application, blood glucose measurement, dietary constraints, and specifics of physical activity. The main objective was to determine the level of awareness of pedagogues about Diabetes mellitus of the first type in children. Based on the results of the DM Disease Survey, we can confirm the need to increase the level of awareness of the issue in schools, thus increasing the sense of safety of children with DM and their parents during schooling and eliminating possible complications.
